Reshmi is an Indian word meaning “silk”. That’s an apt description of the silky-textured, delicious chicken kebabs, a traditional Mughlai dish made in India. Reshmi kebabs get their name from the succulent meat juices that are added to the sticks.

Chicken Reshmi Kebab Recipe takes 15 minutes to prepare the ingredients. After preparation, this recipe takes 20 minutes to prepare, which takes a total of 35 minutes. If prepared with the method given below, this dish is sufficient for 2-3 members.

Chicken Reshmi Kabab Recipe | How to Make Chicken Reshmi Kabab

Material:

  • 400 grams boneless chicken
  • 1 cup curd
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp cashews
  • 1 tsp almonds
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh cream
  • 1/2 tsp red chili
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp oil or butter
  • salt to taste

How to make Chicken Reshmi Kebab:

  • Wash the chicken pieces in running water and cut into medium sized pieces. Soak almonds in water for 20 minutes. Peel the almonds and keep them separately.
  • Now mix curd, ginger-garlic paste, cream, salt, lemon juice, chopped coriander and spices well in a big bowl.
  • Make a paste of almonds and cashews and mix it.
  • Add 1/2 tbsp oil to the curd mixture and marinate the chicken pieces in it. Wrap all the chicken pieces well, cover with the marinade and keep aside for at least 1 hour. (Thus the chicken gets the flavor and juices of the marination ingredients).
  • Preheat the oven to 350F degree for 5 minutes and put a wooden tandoori stick in hot water.
  •  Thread the chicken pieces onto the tandoor sticks and place in the oven. Brush lightly with a little oil.
  •  Grill until chicken is tender, about 20 to 30 minutes. When the chicken is cooked, take it off the stick.
  • Serve hot with coriander chutney and cabbage.
  •  This is the most delicious kebab which is served with tandoori roti or naan.
