Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani Recipe | How to make Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani at home?

Materials:

  • To marinate the chicken
  • 500 grams of chicken
  • 4 onions, thinly sliced
  • 10 cloves of garlic
  • 3 inches came
  • 4 green chillies
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp red chilies
  • 3 cinnamon sticks, small
  • 4 long
  • 4 cardamom
  • 1 tsp Shahi Jeera
  • 1 tablespoon whole black pepper
  • 5 sprigs mint
  • 1/2 cup curd
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil, as needed

To make rice

  • 2 cups of rice
  • A little saffron soaked in 1/2 cup hot water
  • 4 bay leaves, torn
  • 2 Cardamoms
  • 1 clove
  • 1 inch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Shahi Jeera
  • 4 tablespoons of ghee

For the garnish

  • 4 onions, thinly sliced ​​and fried,
  • Finely chopped coriander

How to make Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani

  • First prepare all the ingredients to make Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani Recipe.
  • Heat some oil in a pan. Add finely chopped onion and cook till it turns brown. It will take 20 to 25 minutes. After cooking take it out and keep it aside.
  • Now put ginger, garlic, green chillies in a mixer grinder and make a paste.
  • Now to make masala powder add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, shahi jeera, black pepper in a pan and cook for 30 to 40 seconds. Turn off the heat and keep aside to cool.
  • After it cools, put it in a mixer grinder to make a powder. Keep it separate.
  • Add onion, curd, turmeric, red chillies, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, salt, mint and mix in a bowl.
  • Now add chicken or mutton pieces and mix well. Keep it to marinate for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Now soak the rice in water for 30 minutes to make biryani. Drain the water and keep it separate.
  • Heat ghee in a large pan. Add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, royal cumin, rice, 3 cups water, salt and let it boil. Cook till 3/4 of the rice is cooked. Turn off the gas and keep aside.
  • To cook the chicken, heat the ghee in a large pan. Add the marinated chicken or mutton and cook until cooked. Remember that chicken takes less time to cook.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it to a plate.
  • Now soak the rice in water for 30 minutes to make biryani. Drain the water and keep it separate.
  • Heat ghee in a large pan. Add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, royal cumin, rice, 3 cups water, salt and let it boil. Cook till 3/4 of the rice is cooked. Turn off the gas and keep aside.
  • To cook the chicken, heat the ghee in a large pan. Add the marinated chicken or mutton and cook until cooked. Remember that chicken takes less time to cook.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, remove it to a plate.
