Banjara Kebab is a spicy chicken kebab filled with spices. Boneless chicken pieces are marinated in curd with ginger, garlic, green chillies, mint, coriander leaves and herbs like garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder and chaat masala. These are grilled until done.

Chicken Banjara Kebab Recipe takes 15 minutes to prepare the ingredients. After preparation, the recipe takes 30 minutes to make and takes a total of 45 minutes. This dish is enough for 4-5 members if prepared using the method given below.

Chicken Banjara Kabab Recipe | How to Make Chicken Banjara Kabab

Materials:

  • 500 grams of boneless chicken
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons of ginger-garlic paste
  • 8 green chillies paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red-orange food coloring
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp tandoori masala powder
  • 1 tsp coriander chopped
  • Finely chop 1 tbsp mint leaves
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • Salt to taste

How to make Chicken Banjara Kebab in home?:

  • Clean the chicken and cut into medium sized pieces.
  • Add salt, lemon juice and chillies and marinate. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, roast cumin seeds, sesame seeds, mustard seeds in a saucepan, let it cool and then make a fine powder.
  • Mix curd, ground powder and all the ingredients with 1 tbsp of oil.
  • Mix well and add chicken.
  • Mix the chicken pieces well in the marinade and cover the pot.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and lightly oil the tandoori sticks.
  • Take the chicken out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Place the chicken pieces on the stick.
  • Space the chicken pieces and divide the chicken pieces into 2-3 sticks.
  • Place in the oven and grill for 30 minutes until the chicken is nicely browned.
  • Meanwhile keep checking the chicken for tenderness with a knife or fork.
  • Also apply a little oil twice in between.
  • Remove the chicken from the stick and serve neatly on a serving plate.
  • Serve hot with spicy coriander or mint chutney.
