Biryani is a mixed rice dish popular among Muslims in the Indian subcontinent. It is made from Indian spices, rice and usually some kind of meat or in some cases meat, as well as eggs and potatoes. Chicken 65 is a spicy, deep fried chicken dish. Making Chicken 65 Biryani can be a little different from other Biryani because instead of cooking the chicken with rice, we fry it separately. It should not taste like rice. So I created this recipe. I added half the chicken to the rice and used the fried half for garnish. The chicken we used makes the rice very tasty. What is the difference between Chicken Biryani and Chicken 65 Biryani?

Chicken 65 biryani recipe is similar to other biryani recipes, so you don’t need to go out to prepare it. Instead of cooking chicken with rice, marinated and fried chicken pieces are cooked ‘dum’ style with rice and biryani masala.

What makes biryani special?

Long grain rice (like basmati) layered with aromatic spices like saffron, chicken, fish or vegetables and a thick gravy. The dish is then covered, its lid secured with flour and then the biryani is cooked on low flame. This is definitely a special occasion dish.

While making Chicken 65 Biryani Recipe, first we need to prepare the required ingredients, it takes about 15 minutes. It takes about 60 minutes to make Chicken 65 Biryani if ​​the ingredients are ready. It takes a total of 75 minutes.

Chicken 65 Biryani Recipe | How to Make Chicken 65 Biryani

Materials:

For Chicken 65:

  • 500 grams of boneless chicken
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Half a teaspoon of garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Pungent in taste
  • 1 tsp curd
  • Half a teaspoon of cumin powder
  • Half a teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1 tsp chicken 65 masala (optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp flour/cornflour
  • 2 red chillies
  • 8-10 curry leaves

For Biryani Masala:

  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 green chili, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 8-10 pepper
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cardamoms
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Half a teaspoon of cumin powder
  • Half a teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 2 tablespoons of curd
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder

For Biryani:

  • 2 cups of rice
  • Half a teaspoon of salt
  • 3 teaspoons of mint leaves
  • 3 teaspoons coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp ghee

How to Make Chicken 65 Biryani Recipe in Home:

  • Add ginger-garlic paste, garam masala, salt, curd, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, egg and flour and marinate the chicken. If the mixture is too wet, add more flour. Marinate the chicken for at least an hour.
  • Boil rice in water with salt until cooked. Make sure the rice is not completely cooked.
  • Now make chicken 65. Heat oil in a pan and fry red chillies and curry leaves in it. Add marinated chicken pieces and fry till cooked.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry onion pieces in it. Keep aside.
  • To make the biryani masala, heat oil, add all the spices till they are chopped. Add green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute. Add half the fried onions and mix well.
  • Add tomatoes and rest of the spice powder. When the tomatoes are cooked, add 2 spoons of curd and wait until the water evaporates. Then add chicken 65 and simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  • Remove half of the chicken mixture. Put half the rice, half the mint leaves, coriander and sprinkle some fried onions. Also add 1 tsp ghee on it.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining chicken 65 masala and rice.
  • Now, cover the kadai and secure the edges with some kneaded dough to cook biryani in ‘dum’ style.
  • After the biryani is cooked you can add 1 tsp lemon juice if you want. Serve the delicious biryani with curd, raita or salan and enjoy the meal with your loved ones.
